More information about this house sitter

I'm a retired, active carer of 30 years. I cared for my profoundly autistic Son until November 2025 when he left home. During this time I've looked after pets for neighbours/friends/friends of friends via recommendations. This has all been on a voluntary basis which fulfilled my need for four-legged company but without the full-time commitment as I already had the huge commitment with my Son.
Now I have the time to travel and get my fix! I'm experienced with dogs, cats and chickens, and used to keep a big brood of hens including the poor little featherless rescues.
I'm happy to learn caring procedures for other pets if shown ... just not spiders... sorry!
I have a very soft spot for rescue Greyhounds. To see Greyhounds and Lurchers run is something to behold.
I'm a clean and tidy person around the home and I like to cook. I love gardening and I'm partial to coastal walks. I have lots of hobbies which include crocheting, painting, sewing. I prefer to listen to music than watch tv, and Spotify is my favourite app!
I can provide references should you request them.
I also hold my dog first aid certificate.
My best friend Maria ("Double Act" on here) is also on this site and recommended it to me. We could potentially come as a pair to look after your home and pets if that's agreeable with you.
