More information about this house sitter

Hi we are Dave and Maureen Yallop who have recently retired and live in Wales. We have had many pets during our lives so we know and understand how precious your pets are to yourselves and would love you to share them with us.

During lock down we missed our pet sitting and after having a couple of berevements in the family decided to get a puppy to cheer us up. He is called Ben a springer spaniel. He is 6 months old (as at June 2021), house trained and sleeps in his cage. We obviously want to bring him with us and recently did a house sit taking Ben with us and he got on great with the owners Cockapoo.

We have now had both our covid injections and thankfully are fit and well.

We have been fortunate to have had quite a few pet/housitting positions and thoroughly enjoyed them. We have met some amazing and interesting people and their lovely pets.

Our previous jobs was for an estate in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.
Dave was the Gardner, looking after a walled organic vegetable plot, I (Maureen) was the cleaner in the estate house. The owners travelled a lot and in their absence we had to make sure the veggie garden, house and dogs were looked after. We did this for 3 years before we retired. We have stayed in people's houses, but have also looked after dogs in our home.

Dave is very handy around the house, he can basically do any DIY jobs. We both like to cook and one of our previous jobs was running a cafe/craft centre, and even if we say so ourselves we served a stunning Sunday lunch, so if you would like a meal ready upon your return then just place your order.

We are reliable, trustworthy, energetic, non smokers and honest and we would love you to consider us to be your pet/house sitter.

We are English speaking, sorry no other languages.

David and Maureen have just completed their first sit for us and are booked for a further 2 this year.
We returned to a contented cat, spotless house and mown lawn plus delicious welcoming supper.
Very much looking forward to them continuing.
