I have cared for many animals over many years and have regular clients who have become friends. A veterinary practice in London also recommends me and passes on my contact details to people wanting animal and house care.
If people learnt from animals the world would be a better place.
I take pride in being able to adapt myself to the animal/s I am caring for. I love their different personalities and characteristics and getting their trust. I have cared for animals of all ages and with different levels of fitness. It is very rewarding to be accepted by an animal and to be able to share their domain. Owners always know on their return whether a pet has been happy whilst they were away.
I never leave animals for a long period and would not be relaxed if I did.
What I want to do is bond with the animals I care for and gain their trust, so I have a relationship with them albeit for a short time.
Animals teach you unconditional love and much can be learnt from them.
I have been trusted with homes humble and grand and am a very good house sitter regarding cleanliness, garden/plant care and security/alarm systems.
I do not have enough experience with horses to be able to care for them (quite capable of looking out for them, giving a carrot and a pat and a chat but not able to ride or groom to a professional standard) but all other animals I am happy with. I cannot milk cows and goats but would love to learn...
I charge fifty pounds a day for up to two house animals plus fares which are kept to a minimum.
I will waive a fee completely if someone is on low income and needs time away for a break or to see family and cannot go unless they have free animal care.

I have three large, energetic, crossbreed rescue dogs that Susie sits for. I have my own demanding business and am often called away at short notice and she always tries to accommodate me if I need her at short notice. I usually go away to India every year and she looks after them during that period for at least a month. She walks for miles with them on the coast or in the downs, as I live in Brighton. She was recommended to me by a friend whose dog she cared for and I have used her for a long time. Sometimes there are issues with my dogs as in the past they suffered from neglect and abuse. Susie is a kind, sensitive soul and this has helped with the trust she has built with them. I am afraid they all insist on sleeping with her when she sits for them. She now retains a house key which shows my level of trust. I highly recommend her.
