I am a reliable sensible chap in my early 50s with loads of enthusiasm and energy for life.

I love animals and the outdoors and am ideally looking for assignments in rural settings. (the more remote the better!) I use my time to research and write on various topics mainly golf and military history related.

I live alone with my 10 year old Black Labrador Lancaster who is a great companion and very comfortable around other dogs and animals. I take him with me as much as possible….

I am from a farming family and in my former career as a Housemaster my previous school had its own farm and large gardens so I am used to looking after different types of animals (including children) and watering plants!

I am also highly flexible and adaptable in nature due to my previous work. If I house sit for you, rest assured that any unexpected emergencies of any kind will be met in a calm unflustered professional manner. Running residential facilities for up to 500 teenagers does tend to make one a little immune to drama and unnecessary anxiety.
