I am a quiet, sensible person, organised, reliable and tidy.

My family have had 1 or 2 cats at a time for over 40 years, our latest cat being an intelligent and sometimes feisty tabby. She is a semi feral rescue cat, who came to us at 9 weeks old, having lost her mum to a road accident at an early age. A favourite moment from her kittenhood was showing her how to get down from trees, guiding her down by touching branches in turn until she got down safely ( not a very tall tree!)

Our previous cats have all been rescue cats whether from a cat orphanage or a stray living in a neighbour's shed.

I am a volunteer driver for my local RSPCA cat hub, taking cats and kittens from foster homes to the vets and back.

Previously l was a National Trust volunteer, doing room guiding, bookshop duty, admin and selling Christmas trees, so am fairly adaptable if anything needs dealing with.

I have worked for civil service and police (in admin and finance) passing their vetting processes. I have an Enhanced DBS check dated August 2023 and subscribe to the DBS Update Service, which keeps my Certificate current.

I have had my flu jab, pneumonia jab and all Covid jabs available to me. I am also a non-smoker.

I am very security conscious so you won't find pictures of your house or anything suggesting you're away on social media.

You can rest assured that I will take good care of your pet and home while you enjoy your holiday. I will feed your cat(s), change drinking water, sort litter trays and keep cats inside or let them out according to your instructions.

I will give your cats lots of affection and cuddles, play with them and talk to them or just keep them company if they prefer a bit of space.

I have nursed poorly cats and can give tablet medication in food when required and administer flea and worming treatments.

I have looked after a cat who is blind in one eye, a cat recovering from serious illness, a deaf cat, a new mother cat and kittens and an older cat with a recently introduced kitten and am happy to care for other cats with additional needs or particular circumstances.

I have my own car and whilst cat sitting (or looking after other pets including rabbits, chickens and Aqua Dragons, but not dogs), I can water plants, keep your house clean and tidy, return library books and run any errands you might need while you are away. I can also receive any expected deliveries.

I will send email or WhatsApp updates and photos showing that your cat is well cared for, comfortable and safe.

I am able to do weekend /long weekend/ week visits but not visits over several weeks.
