More information about this house sitter

Hi!. We are Dave & Suzy and our black Labrador, Hobson, and we travel as a family. Hobson is very well-behaved, clean, friendly and gregarious but if you definitely don’t want house-sitters with their own dog, thanks for looking, anyway!

If bringing Hobson with us isn’t an immediate no-no, please read on. We consider ourselves desirable house and pet-sitters because:~

We are houseproud, retired professional people, living in Cheshire. Dave was a high street bank manager and Suzy was a deputy headteacher / acting headteacher. We are non-smokers with clean driving licences, who love our home and garden and keep both immaculate.

Our interests include birdwatching, walking, sketching, photography, reading and travelling to discover new places to pursue these interests.

We have taken many holidays in rented cottages around the UK, and modestly claim to have left them as clean, if not cleaner, than we found them.

We are fit and active and love the outdoors, particularly walking with a dog or dogs as company.
We have had Labradors for 18 years, and cats for many years before that, and have looked after friends’ dogs with the same love and attention as our own.

Hobson is an 8 year old black Labrador, neutered, vaccinated annually, naturally placid and totally obedient, who is friendly and gregarious with other dogs, and hardly ever barks. We have had him since he was a puppy.

He always sleeps in his own bed, eats his own food, and has a huge collection of towels to ensure he is always clean before entering the house.

To ensure that your own pet is happy with Hobson, we would always visit you before agreeing the house-sit, whatever the distance, at our own expense

We have Police Disclosure certificates and we can all, even Hobson, provide references to back up all the above statements.

We have now completed enjoyable and successful house & dog-sits for six owners, with good testimonials. Four of these owners now use us regularly every year.
