House Sitter Profile

We are a semi-retired couple who have been married for 22 years and currently reside in Canada.

Grant is a former Farmer, garden lover and Renaissance man. He has kept horses, pigs, dogs and cattle in a professional capacity.
He has been property owner for more than forty years, with properties ranging from 135 acres on down.
Since retiring, Grant has re-graduated high school, qualified as a chef, and now delivers ice cream cones around the lake resorts and cities of Ontario – just for fun. In this capacity he is trusted by his employer with large sums of cash.


Louise is a British ex-pat and recovered workaholic who has recently discovered the outdoors.
She has owned various residential properties in the past 25 years.
Since retirement she has graduated on the Dean’s Honours List from the University of Waterloo with a B.A. In her part-time job at a Construction Company and Real Estate Broker she is trusted with the keys to large numbers of properties, plus a fleet of vehicles and other equipment.

Over the years, our house has seen dogs, cats, fish, geckos, several children and, at present, four semi-caged birds. We both enjoy travel, cooking, reading, bird-watching, riding bicycles and a good laugh. We do not have any official house-sitting experience at present, but we can provide stellar employee and personal references and a squeaky clean police check from the Waterloo Regional Police Service.
