I am a retired (one year) teacher who has had the opportunity to house sit friends' homes and pets in Colorado, which includes this year not only cats but the newly acquired chickens. This experience drew me to join trustedhousesitters. Through trustedhousesitters, I have had the pleasure of the company of dogs and cats ranging from Scotland, Quebec and Switzerland. I love making not only new animal friends, but also friends of the human kind, as house sitting allows me to get to know the environment and culture where I am living, while at the same time making sure the animals are given love and care, which is reciprocal. I also make sure homes are well maintained so each home owner can feel relaxed when they return home.
As a teacher, I was fortunate in being involved in two teacher exchanges. One to Western Australia and the other to New Zealand. I made sure the teachers I exchanged with returned to a home that had been lovingly cared for in their absence.
I have my own home which I maintain. I also love gardening and I landscaped my garden from scratch. Lots of fun.
