My name is Verity and I am 45 years old. I have had lots of animal care experience working mostly with horses but have my own dogs, cats as well as chickens, rabbits, hamsters and even Kevin the snake. My dog does not need to join me when house sitting unless invited as I have a wonderful mother who cares for him.
I am very reliable and always punctual. I also have a wonderful daughter Evie who may on occasion wish to join me on a housesit. She is 16 and happy to muck out, dog walk and generally pull her weight. She lives with my mother when I am away so if i was offered a single person house sit this would not be a problem.
I have also been a nanny for 5 years looking after 2 children and their home in Cambridgeshire. References can be provided on request.
Now that my daughter is nearly grown up I have no continuous home commitments. I have always been a bit of a free spirit and don't like to set down roots so house and animal sitting suits me down to the ground. I am extremely conscientious and would look after the house and pets to a high standard. I have my own house clearance/removal business so can work away from home coordinating jobs as they come in.
My work does settle down over the winter months so December, Jan and Feb are great months for me to go away.
Due to everything being so expensive now adays I now find that I have to ask for a travel allowance to cover costs travelling to and from your home. I have been offered some wonderful housesits further afield but have had to turn them.down due to the cost to me of getting there. Also if caring for larger animals such as horses I now need to charge as caring for them requires a alot more time and knowledge.
