More information about this house sitter

My husband and I have been married many years and our main hobby is sailing. Since our retirement we spend many months each year on our boat which we sailed from the UK and is now in the Western Caribbean where we have been "stuck" during Covid. We also enjoy travelling generally, walking, birdwatching and gardening. We do miss both pets and gardening.
We are finally hoping to return from our yacht during August (flights booked). We hope to be fully vaccinated for Covid before we return, 1 down 1 to go. We would spend 10 days in quarantine initially. Our home is currently let out and so we would like to do some housesits after the quarantine. Until we started sailing a lot when we retired we always had dogs and were keen gardeners. These are the two things we miss most on our boat, and so housesitting seems a perfect solution. A pot plant on a boat isn't quite the same and we don't think our current lifestyle is fair for pets. We quite often stay with family and friends when we return if our house is let out and although they tell us we are always welcome, we don't like to impose too much and particularly in the current situation with coronovirus.
We have boat sat for sailing friends, looking after their cats and dogs and boats while they return home. We have also cat and dog sat for our family and land based friends. We have housesat on a number of occasions over the last 5 years through other sires for cats and dogs. All went very well . We always had dogs of our own before we started sailing in our retirement, two Heinz and a Border collie. Two of these were rescue dogs.
