Hi there we’re Deb & John.
We’re animal loving professional photographers in our fifties who recently made a lifestyle choice to step back from the hectic pace of self employment and enjoy a more positive life/work balance.
Fit, active, non smokers with excellent references and a current police check we have been together for over 25 years. For our work and leisure we have traveled throughout the UK, Europe, Americas and Africa - exploring foreign cultures, customs and cuisines. Whenever possible we prefer to experience the authenticity of ‘living like a local’ by house sitting and caring for pets in their own environment.
We have re-homed and fostered rescue animals all our lives and are passionate about animal welfare.
We’ve cared for dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and fish although we admit to having limited experience with horses. We’ve had fun and games with lapdog divas, tired out tireless terriers, scoured supermarket shelves for the latest gourmet cat food to tempt the fussiest of felines, taught new tricks to old dogs and bribed our way, with treats and endless patience, into the hearts of many an anxious animal. All of them have left an indelible paw print on our heart.
Although our job affords us the opportunity and flexibility to travel to any location at very short notice we no longer have our own dogs and cats so house sitting your pets is the perfect way to enjoy cuddles with feline friends and long walks with the hounds!!
We are experienced, reliable, capable and financially independent. We have our own beautiful home in Dorset which is rented out when we are globe trotting and a winter retreat in the Canary Islands so we perfectly understand the concerns of owners who have to leave their home and beloved pets in the hands of others. Rest assured we are a trustworthy, security conscious and respectful couple who welcome the opportunity to take care of your house and family pets.
As well as providing lots of love and affection for your furry friends their feeding schedules, exercise and playtime routines will all be followed. Since we know how important it is to keep in touch, we will happily update you with photos during our stay.
We are keen gardeners, lovers of the great outdoors, who also enjoy a little bit of life on the urban side, and enthusiastic cooks.
