Bring Own Pet: If possible. A very gentle, exceptionally well-behaved, house trained mature Border Collie who loves other animals & socialises well in all aspects.

About Us:
We are Jilly and Charles, a documented utterly reliable, sensible and fit British couple with excellent references, some of which are below. Up until recently we found ourselves living in different countries due to the lack of employment in South Africa. Jilly lived in our own 'antique' house in Cape Town, which required a lot of love and refurbishment. She worked for sixteen years for St Luke's Hospice, which serves the Greater Cape Peninsula, as a salaried PR Consultant.
Charles is a house manager/PA/Mental Health Carer to a wealthy gentleman in North London. He's very technical, a classic car owner with his own toolbox and enjoys DIY etc.

Why we want to house sit:
We have two sons and a daughter-in-law who live in London and Bracknell and house/pet sitting is a great opportunity to reconnect with them and to spend quiet times together as a couple.

What we bring to the assignment / relevant experience:
Jilly is a born home maker and enjoys a clean, tidy home. We have moved often in our lives and each time she has managed to produce a beautifully designed, comfortable home.
Charles finds fixing/gardening strangely relaxing and is also exceptionally house trained, thanks to his wife!

I had Charles and his lovely wife, Jilly, stay in our house for 3 weeks in the summer of 2014 while we were away. We have 2 dogs, a large house and garden. They looked after the house and the animals very carefully and considerately. They could not have been more caring. Charles also mowed the lawn, repaired our lawn mower and maintained the house. Jilly has lovingly looked after our dog Ruby on many occasions. She is our first choice when it comes to our precious dog staying with anyone while we are away, we know she is well looked after, walked, fed and loved by Jilly like she is her own. Jilly has looked after my three dogs on a few occasions. They were in excellent hands. As my three are two spoilt Boston terriers and their friend a Jack Russell, we left Jill with notes of their food preferences, their baskets and toys. We left feeling very happy that they were happy too. Jill is very caring and kind. Her own dog is a rescue dog and has been loved to form an amazing bond. Jilly & Charles took very good care of our home & three dogs, one German Shepherd and two lively Daschhunds, whilst we were out of the country. Bailey, the German Shepherd, was pretty old by then and had a nasty wound on his leg. Jilly and Charles took Bailey to the vet as they were unhappy about the wound and it was found that it had gone septic. By the time we returned home, Bailey was better and all three dogs were exceptionally happy with their carers!
