Hi there. Thank you for looking me up. I am an experienced home and pet sitter and can provide references on request. I am a friendly person who smiles a lot, I get on well with most people. I am resourceful and capable and calm in emergencies. I am a vegan, and I try to live lightly on this world of ours. I travel by bicycle where practicable. I work part time from home as a remote transcriptionist and I have office facilities in my motorhome.
I do not need to sleep in your home, in fact, if you don’t have any indoor animals, I won’t need to go into your home at all. You may prefer this over allowing a stranger into your home. I will bring my motorhome and park it on your property. It makes a very clear statement that your property is not unattended. Obviously if your furry family lives indoors I will spend time inside with them.
I am comfortable in remote locations, used to the dark and quiet of the country and do not worry about being alone. My two Greyhounds live with me, they will not go into your home and I am very careful where, or even if, I let them off the lead.
I have experience with dogs, cats, hens and cockerels, fish, horses, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits but I’m up for something new so please get in touch if your pet is not in this list. Oh, I am very, very frightened of spiders, so if you keep Tarantulas I would have to say no. I wouldn’t have a problem with snakes or lizards though.
I wouldn’t expect you to provide food (I know some sitters ask for this) but it would be great to have a contribution towards my diesel. If a very substantial amount of work is required we would need to chat about payment. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you, Karin. Read more...
