Past few years have taken their toll on everyone and led us to some soul searching and priority resetting, leading to the conclusion that life is too short to let working for someone else get in the way of living life and making some memories. We have taken the plunge and decided to take time out of the City of London Rat Race and make a start on our “Places to Visit and Things to Do” bucket list.

Prior to Covid travel restrictions, we enjoyed all too brief journeys in UK and further afield meeting new people, trying different foods, and discovering new places. We are hoping that house-sitting will give us the opportunity to explore more, get to know more about a place and the people whilst taking special care of someone’s (hopefully your) home and pet(s).

Our hobbies include golf and walking, and with lease restrictions preventing pets of our own, we regularly volunteer to take neighbours', friends' and family dogs on long walks when they visit or just need the exercise. Cats also get a warm welcome when they feel a need to be with a human!

We are organised, self-sufficient, clean and tidy with a love of anything information technology related. Most importantly, we will treat your property and pets as if they were our own and will be kind and polite to the neighbours whilst joining in with community life where we can.

Whilst we would never claim to be green fingered or even a gardener, we know difference between a weed and a flower, can cut grass, dead head and keep a garden tidy.

During 2022, we completed our first few 'official' house and pet sits using this and another site (ask and we can point you too some very positive reviews) and relocated to Shrewsbury. We have experience of looking after family property in the UK and Asia for over long periods. These varied from just providing a presence to fixing leaking showers, organising repair men, making sure bills redirected and/or paid and generally ensuring everything worked and was ready for the owners return. Even putting milk in the fridge for that first welcome home cup of tea!
