More information about this house sitter

Hello . . . . I am Kate and I am Scottish, although I live mostly in Southern Andalucia. I am spending more time in UK these days as I have two sons and two grandchildren in London. I design knitwear (for children and for dogs) and I teach yoga and spiritual/personal development. My other interests include reading . . horse riding . . and walking with my dog, Piper.

My father was a gamekeeper and I was brought up with animals. I have worked with and looked after dogs and horses for many years.

Piper is a GSD (rescued as a sick wee puppy) and is now an only dog after losing our wee girl in Nov 2018. We have been road tripping and house sitting and are now in Monmouthshire having got stranded on our way home from looking after little Bobo and his house over the winter, in Scotland. Piper and I had an adventure in a small wooden hut with facilities in the stable block ... horses in the field and chickens roaming around. We are still in UK and enjoying the Forest of Dean.

I have undertaken various house sittings over the years ... mainly in our local community in Spain where people largely depend on each other to take care of their houses and animals. So dogs, horses, cats, chickens and donkeys do tend to come with the territory!

If you are open to the possibility of a sitter with a pet ....... My boy is now 9years old and we are fast becoming seasoned house sitters and loving it. I can supply references and videos of Piper interacting with dogs, cats and chickens. In fact, he has proven to be an amazing uncle to all ....... he has the youth and energy to romp and play while also knowing when to be firm and set a good example to younger dogs. Dogs rock!!
