About me

Hello! My name is Jenny and I'm from Glasgow, Scotland, and have returned to my home town after living in England and Wales for several years. I am a quiet and conscientious animal lover who has grown up surrounded by dogs, though currently do not have any pets.

I work as a freelance writer and so am lucky enough to work from any location across the UK and Europe, as long as I have an internet connection! I am loyal and reliable, and value kindness above all. I am eco-friendly and minimalist; I am very conscious of the environment and reflect this in my lifestyle. I don't smoke, drink or take any illicit substances, and prefer to stay in with a good book than go out partying.

Why I want to Housesit

I am very fortunate that my job and lifestyle afford me the opportunity to travel around the UK, as I am not tied to one area. Spending my days with animals and looking after a range of pets would be an absolute joy! I would especially like to sample rural living and more peaceful environments away from the hustle and bustle.

Experience

I am an experienced house sitter, having house sat for the same property between April 2018 and July 2019. In addition, I look after my friend's dog on occasion, and have lived with dogs throughout my life. I am just starting out on this site, but already have a couple of sits under my belt. I am able to obtain references from current and previous landlords, and employer if required.


What I can offer

I can provide your animals and home with care, kindness, love and attention. I am very tidy and enjoy leaving homes clean and tidy for the owner's arrival. As I work from home, I am able to spend all day with your animals, which would be much more difficult for office-based workers. This is particularly helpful for older animals who may need a bit more attention. I adore walking so would ensure dogs are taken for regular walks. I would be in regular contact to keep you up to date with any issues or challenges that may present themselves. I am single and child-free so have the freedom to house sit across the UK (and possibly Europe). I am particularly interested in long-term assignments.
