Life has changed in ways I never expected, but one thing remains constant—my love and deep respect for the animals I care for and the homes I protect. House and pet sitting have been my lifestyle for years, allowing me to offer devoted, full-time attention to the pets I’m entrusted with.

Why I House Sit

Caring for beloved animals fills my life with purpose, and their companionship is a source of endless joy. While I’ve always considered myself a “dog person,” my late cat Shadow taught me otherwise. After sharing 14 years together—through countless moves, including post-Katrina New Orleans—I realized my love extends to all creatures. Now, I proudly embrace being an Animal Person.

In addition to pet sitting, I seek peaceful settings that foster my writing and creative work. Providing loving care for pets and homes while dedicating time to my projects is a balance that brings me deep fulfillment.

My Experience

From dogs of all sizes—Chihuahuas to Irish Wolfhounds—to cats, birds, reptiles, and even livestock, I’ve cared for them all. My background includes:
• Dogs: Experienced with countless breeds, from high-energy retrievers to tiny lapdogs.
• Cats: Affectionate and intuitive care, including medical needs.
• Horses: Worked at an Arabian horse farm, training colts and caring for stallions. Served as a riding instructor and trail guide.
• Exotic & Farm Animals: Chickens, ducks, parrots, goats, pigs, and cattle—all part of my extended pet care family.

Beyond pet care, I have extensive experience as an innkeeper, B&B manager, and social director. Whether caring for animals or guests, my purpose is the same: to create a loving, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.
