More information about this house sitter

Hello,
I'm a 70 year old retired English teacher and a part-time pet and house-sitter since 2014. I no longer have pets at home in Oxfordshire but many have been in my care including some farm animals, rodents and a lovely bearded dragon.
In my leisure I enjoy reading, afternoon tea with friends, music and writing creative non-fiction. I love animals and they seem to like me!
Dogs love taking me for walks, and cats..... well, they please themselves, as you know, but most of them enjoy a cuddle, a play and gentle grooming. I have experience in looking after dogs, cats, chickens, various rodents a bearded dragon and a rabbit. Limited experience with horses. I have also looked after many dog breeds - German Shepherd, Boxer, Rottweilers, Labradors, terriers and collies. Some dogs and cats with special needs, such as special surveillance, medication and vet visits.
My first assignment was in January 2014 in Leicestershire. I’ve been back to look after their pets many times and it’s always a pleasure. I now have 5 families whose pets I look after regularly.

What I offer:
* If you trust me with your pets and home I will ensure they are well looked after and cared for.
* I spend most of the time at home with your pets; looking after them is my only reason for being there.
* I can adapt to special requests, and will endeavour to make the period of time you are away as happy as possible by sticking to familiar routines/walks, by giving them the love and affection they need and creating a relaxed, safe and loving environment.
* I will come back, whenever possible, thus ensuring your pets have the same person looking after them every time you go away.
* I am resourceful in dealing with unexpected matters.
* When you arrive home you will find your house clean and tidy.

In return, I ask for a daily, negotiable fee.
I'd be happy to come and meet you before the time whenever possible.

Thank you,
Louise

KAREN - GLOSSOP ENGLAND
SIT DATE: Dec 2017
Louise stayed in our home and took excellent care of our labradoodle Mack and rescue dog Boo. We had also recently brought into our family two lively funny and mischievous kittens which Louise also cared for. We kept in touch via email and her communication was excellent allaying any fears we had of using a house/pet sitter for the first time. Our pets and our home were very well cared for and we even came home to some home made vegetable soup which Louise had kindly prepared for us on the day of our return. We would definately reccomend Louise our dogs even appear a bit sad today now Louise has left

DEBRA - FLITTON ENGLAND
SIT DATE: Jun 2017

Louise was my very first house sitter and was absolutely delightful. Came to stay with us the night before we left and we immediately felt extremely comfortable leaving Amber in her care. I couldn't recommend Louise highly enough and sincerely hope she comes to stay again - as does Amber who no doubt loved Louise' constant care and attention!!

SALLY (Cranborne, Dorset , May 2016)
Louise was delightful, from the minute we met I knew we'd get on. She looked after our house and especially our King Charles Cavalier Archie wonderfully, he didn't miss us one bit! She understood and picked up that I was nervous about leaving Archie and kept in contact with me by email. I had daily blogs on what Archie had done with his time, so sweet, and a picture too! Will definitely use again, hopefully September. Thank you Louise, Woof from Archie x

SARAH (Crowland, England, Aug 2015)

I owe a big debt of gratitude to Louise, she was a charming and most able house-sitter. Louise looked after my elderly and grouchy cocker spaniel at least as well as I could have done myself. She gave her medicines, walked, fed and cleaned up after her after taking care to find out her routine. She also looked after the house and garden to a standard beyond what I had hoped for, she gave regular e-mail updates and was quick to reply to any communications sent to her. I could not have had a more pleasurable experience. If you are lucky enough to have Louise offer to house-sit, snap her up! Many thanks to Louise for making my first house-sitting experience so easy and pleasurable.

LOUISE & MARCUS (Ipswich, England, Jul 2015)

Louise was a wonderful dog & house sitter! She took great care of our aged Bassett Hound and gave us regular email updates whilst we were away just to set our mind at ease that he was well & happy. True to her word, she is very tidy and the house was lovely & clean when we got home - always a massive bonus. We would definitely like to have Louise house-sit again.

I can only say Louise was fantastic ,she looked after my dog, cottage and my garden with huge amounts of care ,she emailed me regularly to let me know that Tara was ok .When I returned home my cottage was sparkling and the garden looked wonderful. Thank you Louise.
