More information about this house sitter

We are an experienced, honest, and flexible couple with a wide range of skills and interests. We know how important to be reliable and responsible as we have had a number of properties and know what it is like to be a homeowner trusting a house sitter.
Maryna is a medical herbalist  with an extensive background in gardening and health. She ran the garden on Holy Island in Scotland for two years.
Russell is a writer/documentary filmmaker who had owned many business including an inn and a bookshop and now produces travel guides.  We are multilingual, international and own property in Canada and live part of the year in Venice. 
Our interests include, nature, walking, history, animals, gardening, plants, antiques, reading and living softly of the planet.  We are very clean, do not smoke and rarely drink - maintaining a healthy life style but are certainly not "hippies". We both have a passion for cats and are good with all creatures and have looked after cats, dogs, chickens, birds, rabbits and fish before. Additionally, Maryna has valid Police Check as well as Working with Children Check. 
We have references and we are available for Skype interview.


As we both work for ourselves we are open to live anywhere. Through housesitting we discover different places in various locations and new life experiences. We mostly live between London, Venice and Canada. House sitting works wonderfully for us in this respect and we love to find new interesting places and connect with like minded people. In addition we love animals and miss having our own. House sitting gives us a chance to be around these wonderful creatures.

As homeowners we know about caring for the property and peoples' belongings. We have had many houses in our lives and Russell has owned a 5* hotel. We know what it is like to have a property empty when you are away and the stress that goes with wondering if everything is ok.
