Hello!
I'm a 36 year old consultant and postgrad student, who has officially been a pet, plant and house sitter since 2018 via the Trusted Housesitters website (where I have a more detailed profile, a large collection of 5* reviews and full identity verification certificate)!

I am currently partway through a long-term sit for a lovely dog in north London whilst her parents are away for a number of months. I will finish here in early March 2025 and I am open to exploring long-term sits (for dogs, cats, small mammals and reptiles) from March onwards.

******* ABOUT ME ********
I'm a 36 year old responsible sitter, with extensive experience taking care of a range of animals, properties and plants both here in the UK and internationally. I am currently completing a 'long-term' (4.5 months) sit for a lvely dog in North London!

I am from London, however, I moved to Spain just before the Brexit deadline in late 2020. I have since split my time back and forth between both countries. After getting a little homesick, I decided to to take on a long-term petsit here in London. I'm enjoying it so much that I am now exploring the possibility of another long-term sit afterwards! I will be working on research throughout 2025, which offers a unique window where I can be completely home-based for work, which is particularly great for dogs.

After growing up in a home full of animals, and volunteering at sanctuaries throughout my adult life, it's been a dream for many years to adopt a rescue pup. Unfortunately, due to my dual-base lifestyle, it wouldn't be fair to do so yet! I really enjoy house sitting and becoming temporary care-giver (yet lifelong friend!) to other peoples fur babies!

******** MY EXPERIENCE ********

PETS:
Having grown up with a dogs, cats and other pets, I genuinely adore animals and feel a big loss when they're not around. As a sitter, I'm known for my caring approach and the effort I make to observe and honour each animal's unique needs and behaviours. I'm a active person who enjoys getting dogs out and about on walks and adventures. Because of my work I'm typically in the house for most of the day, which can be quite soothing for pets (particularly the dogs!) who notice their owners have suddenly disappeared!

ANIMALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
I'm experienced in caring for animals who have special needs, including those who require medication (pills, powders, injections, medi baths etc) or special observation. I have sat extensively over the years for an epileptic dog, who requires medication 4 times a day, and has seizures which (requiring me to administer medication to him anally, keep him safe during the seizure and provide aftercare), and have lots of lovely reviews from pet parents whose animals I have managed meds for. I'm a firm believer that our pets do understand and feel fear when they're not well, and I have a loving and reassuring approach in the way I interact with them, or persuade them to do unpleasant yet necessary things - like take medication. I'm additionally experienced in administering meds to cats via syringe (even tricky ones who don't enjoy it, which I approach lovingly!), re-dressing wounds, cleaning eyes and ears, clipping nails and similar day to day tasks that come with caring for our animal friends.

DRIVING LICENSE + INSURANCE:
I have a full, clean driving license and can drive a manual car. I have completed petsits where pet parents have added me to their car insurance for peace of mind, and I am happy to discuss this for long-term sits.

AVAILABILITY:
I am available from March 2025 onwards for petsits in London. I may consider other UK locations.

If I'm in the area beforehand, I'm also happy to meet for a coffee :) I can share my personal and work email addresses, as well as my mobile number and whatsapp contact, so that we both feel reassured and can connect easily whilst I'm staying at your home.

MY REQUEST TO YOU:
It's really important to me to have all of the information I need to take care of your pet well. For this reason, I ask that even if we have discussed your pet's needs, you leave a full written handover which details their normal character/behaviour so that I'm able to notice if something changes, any strange little habits they have, their routine including feeds, walks, where they usually sleep etc, any medication and how/when to administer it, the vet's phone number (and what you would like me to do if your pet needs a trip to the vet), a phone number I can reach you on at any point during your time away and any other important information about your pet.
