About this house sitting position in Alnwick

Hi home for us is a 4 bedroomed single story barn conversion located in a quiet hamlet between Alnwick and Wooler in Northumberland. We have 3 dogs , the youngest of which, Teddy, who will be 18 months old in Sept wears a muzzle for outdoors as he is a stone eater and has already has had two ops to remove them from his tummy. He is the sweetest natured dog but a complete idiot. We also have 2 x Cats one of which, Purdy is very affectionate and one, Alfie, who is less so but will come for food eventually and 3 chickens who are, well, chickens!
Although there are buses running to Alnwick and Wooler the bus stop is about a mile away so having your own transport may be useful. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, nestling in the rain shadow of the Cheviots and about 25 mins drive to the coast. The house has two steps from the main door into a lobby and thence into the house but there is easier access into the house via the garage and utility room into the kitchen. The garden is not huge but not tiny and we have a poly tunnel but most crops will have been harvested by Sept but some watering may be required. The chicks are getting on a bit but lay every so often so if eggs are your thing you should get a few!
The house is pretty low maintenance and there are some lovely walks around and about and although the local towns are 8 ( Wooler) and 12 ( Alnwick) miles away the petrol station shop on the A697 at Powburn a mile away is the best stocked garage shop I have ever seen with organic and local produce amongst its stock.
We also have a pretty well stocked larder, freezers and cupboards and would be very happy for you to help yourself to whatever you can find.
The village is very peaceful with a weekend evening restaurant at the end of the road and a lovely day cafe 1.5 mile walk across the hills in the Ingram valley.
It is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and experience the beauty of north Northumberland.
Please get in touch should you feel this pet sitting experience might suit you.
Thanks for reading.
Chris
