About this house sitting position in Amlwch

Hello,
My husband Jamie and myself moved to Anglesey 11 and half years ago, from a very busy, hectic and unfriendly Leicester. Jamie is an engineer for Openreach and I'm a retired nurse of 41 years.
We had our house renovated in 2015 as when we bought it, the love had been stripped from it. We are now proud to call it our home 🏡
We live in the country in a cottage with lovely views of Snowdonia mountains and fields. We have a large field facing our kitchen and it's lovely when sheep and cattle are grazing there.
We have approximately 1/4acre of garden with lots of flowers and shrubs. We also have a large carpark which will house a motor home if required.
Our home is run on oil not gas for heating, which will be topped up for your stay. We also have a wood burner in the sitting room which is so delightful on a cold evening.
Cooking is by electric, an we do have a good sized airfryer too!
The bedroom that our guests stay in has a double bed, fan, set of drawers and a wardrobe. 1 bathroom with shower and separate bath.
A large kitchen diner with table and chairs as well as a 8ft breakfast bar. 4 large French doors that open fully to let the garden into our home.
A porch with a toilet and sink (the dogs have their bed in this room)and a utility room (the cats eat and sleep here). We also have a modest size sitting room, we do have another room but that has been taken up for all of my hobbies 😁
We have 3 large freezers which will keep you going for 2 wks, especially if you're a meat lover!!!
The village itself has 1 shop. Coop and Spar are located in Amlwch which is 3 miles away and also very expensive. No pub in walking distance but we have 2 both a couple of miles away. The Lastra farm and The Ring, I would suggest these two if you would like a meal out. (Not walking though, not safe)
Our nearest town for top up food shopping for Aldi, Lidl, Home bargains or B&M is Llangefni 11miles. Holyhead for larger stores is 22 miles, very easy to get to.
We are so lucky to have a beautiful coastline and walks. we are only 3 miles from the sea. We have Parys Mountain on our doorstep which has become a visitor hot-spot, it use to be an open cast copper mine. It's has been used for many sci-fi tv programs. The scenery left from the hard work of men and women back in the day is absolutely stunning. Amlwch port is another great place to visit.
Snowdonia is an hours drive away as is Llandudno, Betws-y-Coed and Portmeirion are 1 and a half hrs away.

NOW THE ANIMALS 😊
Our 2 dogs are Ebony, black collie x lab, she 11 years old, full of energy, life and loves her walks/runs and if she's lucky a swim. She is very obedient and loyal, she is a typical lab and will stare for any food going (which I will NOT cave into!!)
Rosie is a Cavichon, we rescued her 7 years ago, she will be 9 in Oct. She's a very licky girl, through anxiety. She was left trapped in a room for hours at a time alone. She absolutely adores Ebony. She would love to be able to sit on your knee and have constant cuddles, unfortunately I don't allow the dogs on our furniture due to Ebony malting so much. They are not allowed upstairs or in the bedrooms, they have their own bed.
We have to keep them closed up in the porch at night and when we leave the house as Ebony is very distructful, she will find only very important letters and eat them, she has in that past ate £1,000 check and a couple of gift vouchers!!!

NOW THE CATS 🐈
Raven is our black cat 2 years and Shadow her sister is silver grey. They are not overly loving, but will myther you for food!
Lily our tabby, she is 13 and very loving, loves a fuss. They love the outdoors, but home to sleep at night. They will use the litter trays at night.
I will tell you more about their feeding routine when I meet you.

We have Netflix and a fire stick for tv, Alexa is everywhere!
We have very fast broadband, WiFi etc.

No smoking in the house, but you can outside.
If possible, please provide references, passport and a utility bill to prove that your homeowners (advice from other sitters)
You must be able to drive and have own car.
Middle age couple, single middle aged females, Same sex couples welcome.
We don't want to pay for this service, this is your holiday too!
If possible, we would like to meet you before the stay.

Thank you so much for reading this very long introduction.
Sharon 😁

Reviews for Sharon

“We would like to thank Sharon & Jamie for trusting us with their pets & home. We were made to feel very welcome & the cottage was very homely & pets exceptionally well behaved. Instructions for pet care were very clear & everything we needed was on hand. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as welcoming hosts for their beautiful island of Angelsey. Thank you both very much. - Read more
