About this house sitting position in Battersea / Clapham

Hi there. We have recently adopted a cat, Furdy, from the famous Battersea Cats home but had already booked a family holiday from 19-26 October. We need someone to stay in the house to look after Furdy during this time. He may also still be a little cautious in his new home, so a genuine cat-lover is sought. He will still be inside only at this time and so will need feeding, litter tray cleaned and, as he is long-haired, also groomed each day. We also need someone who will be out of the house for no more than 5 hours at a stretch.

We have a large family house on a quiet road in the Northcote Road area of Battersea between Wandsworth and Clapham commons. The house is well-presented (but is most importantly a well-used family home) and very well-equipped with a large kitchen and a pretty garden. There is also a piano (clavinova) for the musically inclined. It is very convenient for Clapham South tube station (10 mins walk then 15 mins journey to central London), but also for overground at Clapham Junction (20 mins walk), Wandsworth Common station and Balham station (both around 15 mins). If you don’t know the area, it is a great place for going out with a massive choice of cafes, bars and restaurants ranging from casual to Michelin-starred. Shops are mainly boutiques and independent stores, with a few of the smaller chains also present, but several large supermarkets are easily accessible too.
