About this house sitting position in Chilton Polden

We have two (genuinely) well trained and well behaved dogs. ‘Buddy’ is a Lab/Flatcoat cross and Jess is a lab/collie/god know what else cross. Both are very good natured and wonderful with children and both are frequent visitors to my local pub (though I dont take them together). Indeed, Buddy is a frequent visitor, knows all the locals and they also know him (he is also our skittles team mascot!).

For our fortnight holiday we would like to ask for at least one walk per day. We also have a young cat called Olive. They all get on fine. So its a case of keeping the dogs company and a daily walk, feeding all three (plus one goldfish). If you want you can do some light gardening (though not a requirement)

Our home is a 4 bed detached house, with gardens in a rural location. We have a local pub (think country local pub rather than bistro pub! (also services food)) within walking distance and local shops just a 2 minute drive away.

Just a 2 minute walk and you are into public footpaths crossing fields and the Polden Hills. The area is famous for bird watchers, cycling and is only a 15 minute drive into Glastonbury with its famous Tor. Clarks Village is close by and is a well known factory shopping retail outlet (lots of shops).

We also have bikes you can use, together with all necessary cycle gear.

Beaches are just 30 minutes away. Exeter and Bristol are both about 1 hour.

It might be advisable for you to come the day before we leave so we can show you around and introduce you to the dogs. Read more...
