About this house sitting position in Faringdon

I live in a lovely 1 bedroom flat (first floor) with a nice garden in a quiet village located half way between Oxford and Swindon. I live with Bob, a gorgeous rescue cat with lots of personality. I am Bobs 3rd home in his short 6yrs, but it’ll will be his forever home. He had a pretty stressful and traumatic life before coming to me but has settled in amazingly and is definitely not the cat I was expecting him to be.

I am heading up to Telford for some study days at uni and then want to head to my parents in Norfolk. So I’m looking for someone that can come and look after Bob while I’m away. I’m not sure how he gets on with men so a single or a couple of women would be ideal.

Bob has IBD but since I’ve had him, he’s led a stress free life meaning he hasn’t had any issues or medication. He doesn’t spend a lot of time outside he likes to pop out for a wee and then is usually by my side for most of the day. I’d probably ask you to keep him inside entirely while I’m gone just in case he does a disappearing act! He’s a very talkative boy and enjoys playing with balls, catnip and his feather fishing rod. He is quite independent but also really affectionate on his terms, especially in bed but can be a biter (usually not hard and just gentle nips). He is quite a confident boy but may keep his distance for a bit but if you break out the webbox or dreamies he will be your best friend. He is a huge human food thief and is likely to steal things off your plate 🤣 he keeps me on my toes and he does occasional steal out of the cupboards and bins!

There is a lovely cafe in the village that serves a really tasty breakfast and lunch. There are also quite a few nice walks nearby and lots to do in the surrounding areas.

You can reach the Wessex downs in around 15mins by car. Oxford and Swindon are approximately 30mins away.

I don’t use the public transport, but I believe you can get a bus into faringdon and then you can go to Swindon or Oxford from there. I think it would be easier to get around if you can drive.
There are quite a few Xmas markets cropping up in the surrounding areas so would be a good place to come and stay for some Christmas shopping, I think the biggest one that’ll be open during these dates is the one being held at Blenheim Palace.
