About this house sitting position in Glasgow

Retired couple residing in a suburb of Glasgow South require a pet sitter to look after 6 cats and one dog. Our dog is medium size, approximately the size of a cocker spaniel. We have two female cats and 4 male cats. The cat’s range in age from 7 years to 16. One cat has three legs and suffers from asthma, and another has thyroid problems and so requires medication twice daily. Medication is liquid given orally. All cats are neutered and spayed and all are 100% house cats. The cats have a small enclosed Catio where they go to watch the birds and get fresh air. The cats have their own large sunroom where they eat, sleep, play and have their litter boxes. Our back garden is a good size and is private and fully enclosed. Our dog plays and exercises in the garden. Our dog is not good in a car and so can’t travel as it makes him stress and this makes him sick. The longest period we ever leave our dog is three hours. The cats are used to us being around all day and so they require human company on a regular daily basis. We have sofas and a tv in the cat’s sunroom where we sit and watch tv to keep them company.

We are looking for a single mature lady who has experience with cats and small dogs. Must be a nonsmoker, non-vaper. It should be noted that we cannot have the burning of candles, incense or joss sticks in our home due to the asthmatic cat. Would suit a retired person or a person who has the freedom to work remotely. We have full fibre broadband.

We have a very good veterinary clinic who offer a mobile service which is good as the vet comes to our home. References and DBS are essential. Willing to pay expenses and or pet sitting fee.

We live in a nice peaceful suburb to the South of Glasgow where we can offer a nice modern king-sized bedroom with ensuite facilities. There is a supermarket and a small private GP clinic less than 5 minutes’ walk from our home. There is public transport with regular bus service, but no trains. Read more...
