About this house sitting position in Jedburgh

Hi!

We live in a small house on the outskirts of a village called Ancrum in the Scottish Borders. We have a large garden, 1 greyhound and 2 hens.

We are looking for someone with reasonable fitness who can give Annie (our gentle greyhound) plenty of strokes and about an hour or so of walks per day, feed and muck out the hens every few days and water a few veg beds and the polytunnel. Annie is very gentle and walks really nicely on the lead. We generally do a longer walk in the morning, shorter one after lunch. Greyhounds don't need a lot and an hour of fairly brisk walking is enough to get her sleeping for the rest of the day (their favourite activity!)

In return you'll get to stay in a lovely quiet part of Scotland with great walks and views, a local village pub and shop and some lovely towns nearby. Plus whatever fruit and veg are ripe. There is a bus from the local village to all the nearby towns and plenty of nice walks. All in all a quiet, relaxing place.

Your accommodation will be a ground floor en-suite double bedroom. I've attached photos of the guest room and it's ensuite and our living room. Will try and add some more photos as I get them! It's a clean, tidy and comfortable family home but not a luxury Airbnb. Read more...
