About this house sitting position in KELVEDON
We live in a listed mill house on the banks of the river Blackwater in Essex. A large property with extensive grounds
Most importantly we have 3 dogs and a cat who whilst we would love to take them with us can’t always join us and need to be loved at home
We also have several chickens, peafowl and guinea fowl who need grain in the mornings and eggs collected - perfect for your daily poached eggs and quiche requirements
We would love the house to be looked after by either a single person or couple, who are happy to walk the dogs ( can be walked entirely within the property ) regularly, water some pots and veg in the greenhouse and veg garden and ( not a requirement ) for longer stays may be happy to jump on the lawn mower

“Fiona and Justin were kind and appreciative hosts. Their three dogs are very affectionate, great company and respond to the whistle to come.
The house is beautiful and full of character with a warmth and cosiness about it. The location is quiet and peaceful and full of interest for nature lovers. The land is extensive consisting of fields, woods, rivers and bridges plus lawns and assorted beds full of shrubs, bulbs and perennials.
I walked the dogs on the land off the lead. They happily chase about and get their noses in to all sorts! They wear themselves out with little effort from me and I get a good walk too.
