About this house sitting position in Kettlestone
Our cottage is in a quiet village in rural north norfolk, 3 miles from Fakenham and about 8 miles from the sea. The view from the front of the house is over fields and you can watch a lot of wildlife from the window. There's a wild garden at the rear. There are local buses available but having a car would be recommended as they can be unreliable. This area is a great place to cycle and I can provide maps of quiet routes if needed.
The cottage has internet but we do not have television. It would suit someone looking for some quiet time, if you enjoy reading or painting then it could be perfect.
We are both in our forties. My wife is a lab technician at the UEA and i'm a picture framer / landscape painter.
We have 3 cats - a 15 year old male tabby, a 15 year old female tabby (they are brother and sister), and an adopted 10 year old Russian Blue. All have their unique personality. The male tabby is on prednisolone which needs mixing into his food each morning. This makes him hungry most of the time and he can get noisy. Other than that, the cats dont require much work, they sleep most of the day.
