About this house sitting position in LEE COMMON
June is one of the best months to visit our Hill Top Village in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty here in the Chilterns.
Needless to say, it is perfect dog walking country - which is why we need a house sitter. We have one adorable super-friendly white Labradoodle who loves walking. Our one absolute definite request is that she is walked one hour a day – whatever the weather ! (It could be two half hours if really necessary.) But if you enjoy walking it is never a hardship.
Within a 500m circle of our front gates there are starts of walks towards all points of the compass that can take you across fields and valleys for mile after mile hardly touching a road.
Our cat, Tatti, loves his human carers. He is always waiting at the gate whenever you go out and comes running in to join you.
Our neighbours are always there to help you and point you towards the community facilities like the brilliant pub and coffee shop open most of the day, and the village community shop open 7 days a week just 200m away etc.
During this stay you may well catch the carpets of bluebells in the surrounding woods. Enjoy the many swooping Red Kites which have found this area perfect to flourish.
On a practical level there are the nearby villages / towns of Great Missenden, Chesham (weekly markets) – both 2-3 miles, where Sairnsbury’s, Waitrose and other supermarkets can be found.
We ask that the animals are not left longer than 4 hours, but our neighbours are always there and will always try to help out if at all possible.
It is possible to survive here without a car, but highly recommended that you have one. Read more...
