About this house sitting position in Leominster

House/Pet sitter for our home but most importantly, for our dogs on our family farm in September. We have modified our dates because one of our sons will need to be here from 10/09 for a week. Ideally, whoever sits for us would also be able to return for 4 days once our son leaves on 17th/18th but this is not absolutely necessary!
We are a married couple with 3 grown up boys who have now all flown the nest. We are left with 2 generations of Springer Spaniels ranging from 2 to 9 years and a fairly old Jack Russell plus a very tolerant and self sufficient cat! Our lovely detached rural home is surrounded by our fields and orchards but well away from the road, main farm buildings and neighbours.
Let our 4 dogs show you round their favourite woods, fields and swimming spots (no leads required!) and keep them fed and watered and provide company and kindness. No farm work required as someone else will be looking after all the cattle and sheep.
We have a charming period home in a very peaceful location with a lovely garden. It is a busy working, family farmhouse and but roomy, relaxed and comfortable. If you enjoy tranquil surroundings and want to immerse yourself in country living then this is just the place. The kitchen has recently been relocated and our old oil fired Aga replaced by an electric one although we also have a Ninja oven and microwave, if you prefer. Not repainted yet ( hopefully soon) but fully functioning with larder fridge, dishwasher and all the kitchen equipment you would expect. Experience of using a woodburner and tolerance of mud would definitely be an advantage in the winter but in the summer there is plenty of terrace space for barbeques and relaxing outside. We are located in beautiful Herefordshire close to both the Shropshire and Worcestershire borders and under an hour from the Welsh Brecon Beacons. Plenty of walking, cosy pubs, picturesque market towns and local history and culture are nearby. Let us know what youre interested in and we can supply details.
The main farm (walking distance from our home) has excellent livery facilities and arena hire so this house/dog sit may also suit a horse owner looking to get away (further details on request).
