About this house sitting position in LONG COMPTON

We are retired company directors who like to travel several times a year normally for no longer than two or three weeks at a time. Our house is a detached period stone property with 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. 2 sitting rooms, a study, a large kitchen/diner with an electric AGA cooker, utility room etc., and the kitchen overlooks the large garden of about half an acre. The garden is mainly flat, with mature shrubs and trees and there is a large terrace adjoining the house. The house is located in a quintessential Cotswold village which has a village shop, an historic church and a pub/restaurant. Nearest towns are Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh or Shipston on Stour. The nearest station is in Moreton-in-Marsh and there is a bus service passing through the village which travels between Chipping Norton and Stratford upon Avon.

The primary consideration is looking after our family - our three Rotties. Two of them are boys and are pretty old by Rottweiler standards aged 14 and 10, and the girl is a year old. They are exercised and fed twice a day. Exercise for them is walking on or off leads (depending on where they are being walked) for no longer than 25 minutes per walk. They are well trained, well behaved and companionable with each other and with people. However, they have never lived with children and for this reason we do not consider it appropriate for the sitters to be accompanied by a child or children. Because of their size and strength it would be more appropriate for a couple to look after them rather than a single person. Regarding the house, our cleaner comes twice a week and our gardeners are here once a week.

We are also hoping that the same sitters will be able to be here from 12th to 18th October as well.
