Near Brecon, Wales

About this house sitting position in near Brecon

My home is very small, quaint and rustic, situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons.
I'm looking for someone very responsible, who will enjoy spending nearly all their time here, as Reggie my dog has separation anxiety which makes it unsafe to leave him for very long. You have to be happy being alone in a very quiet place.
The scenery is wonderful with several footpaths/walking routes on the doorstep. You can see Pen Y Fan, LLangorse Lake and Talybont Reservoir from the mountain above the house and there is a choice of forestry, moorland, fields and the Brecon-Monmouthshire Canal for walks . (If you are the fell running type-with dog in tow-even better) It's also a great place for an artist/photographer/writer.
Reggie is young and energetic. He's not safe near sheep. If you know Wales you will know there is a stray sheep hidden round every corner so while in your care he must stay on the lead. (It's a long one!) You need to be fit as he needs long walks and the terrain is steep.
There is one mezzanine bedroom. Reggie sleeps there too (on his own bed.) He is no trouble but you have to be okay with that. (At least he doesn't fart like his predecessor!)
After a lot of work he is fine about staying home alone in the mornings (that's when I go to work), so that is also when you will be able to go out alone. Otherwise, you have to do everything with him in tow. On the plus side, he doesn't mind going to the pub! or jumping into a car, bus or train, as long as you don't try and leave him. (Bus stop a mile down hill, only 4 x day to Brecon or Abergavenny. Train station in Abergavenny)
I'm looking for someone to care for him for a long weekend while I go to a folk festival. The dates are for a week to allow for some induction time. I would like you to get to know Reggie while l am still around and l can show you some local walks,etc .
