About this house sitting position in Oxford
Our home is located in the beautiful City of Oxford in Summertown. Our small dogs are Harper, our little 7 year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russel cross and Bartlemas our 5 year old boy cat. We also have a young boy dachshund who just turned 3. Our family completes with two guinea pig girls who live inside but love going outside in their enclosure on nice days. We have a little bunny who is very much like a dog. He lives outside in a garden house. There is also a small fish tank with colourful fish. We live in a terraced-house with a lovely garden in the heart of Oxford in Summertown.
We have had many pet-sitters over the years. Harper, our little girl loves walking and needs two medium walks and lots cuddle time. Being active, she loves a long walk. They tend to use their voices when meeting other dogs on walks. Bartlemas, our cat is very playful and loving. He goes outside during the day, but stays inside for the night after his dinner. He loves his food and cuddles. The little bunny is active and very social. He needs his food and water changed daily, and hutch cleaned bi-weekly. The guinea pigs love grazing outside on a warm day. They go inside when it turns dark. In the winter they are just inside, where they have a hay tray and fleeced blankets which needs changing every few days. They loved to be played with. Our fish would just like a few flakes into their tank morning and evening. During the summer months, for a longer stay, it would be wonderful, if the grass could get a weekly trim. It takes about 20min.
We are around the corner from the high street with Marks and Spencer's, Tesco and Sainbury, Gails, Gatineau, a French Bakery, a Lebanese lunch spot, just to name a few, are only steps away. We are 1.3 miles from the historic centre, with many buses right on the doorstep. Oxford Parkway rail station to London Marylebone can be directly reached by bus. For longer walks head to Port Meadow, the Oxford Canal and the University parks which are within easy reach, as is the surrounding country side. Blenheim palace is 12 mins away by car and there is a direct bus to get there close by. Read more...
