Sitter's pets welcome:
We are going on a long-overdue family holiday this summer and are looking for someone to keep our 5 year old smooth-coated collie company. Finlay is a very sweet and gentle, good-natured chap, and is child friendly. He does require a reasonable amount of exercise, loving to share walks on Dartmoor and the Southwest Coast Path, or to chase a tennis ball or frisbee in the park - but is also very happy to chill out.
We have a dog walker who can be on hand to help if you're planning non dog-friendly excursions/outings, but ideally we'd love to have somebody who'd be happy to include Finlay in their plans!
We live in a lovely Edwardian terraced property in the sought-after Peverell area of Plymouth. There are two double bedrooms, one en-suite, plus our son's nursery and a family bathroom. We've got a small, but very sunny patio garden behind the house (which is a complete sun trap throughout the summer).
Our house is just 50 yards from Central Park, an 80-acre green space in the heart of Plymouth, and which surrounds the Life Centre with multiple swimming pools, climbing wall, fitness studios etc. The street isn't a through-road so is very peaceful with free on-street parking, a corner shop nearby and several further convenience stores and a small high street within easy walking distance. Plymouth town centre is approximately 20 minutes walk, and the sea front about 30 minutes on foot. The train station is also about 20 minutes away.
Plymouth is ideally situated for exploring the Dartmoor National Park and the beaches and coastline of Devon and Cornwall; attractions such as the Eden Project and St Ives are an easy day trip by car and train respectively.
