About this house sitting position in Ryde, Isle of Wight

Experienced dog person/couple required to provide loving care, lead walks and companionship for two characterful dogs on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Our terraced cottage is extremely close to shops, beaches and public transport, whilst being tucked away and quiet. It is an ideal location to explore the Island and experience lovely coastal walks. The town is unique in that it is close to lovely countryside yet has a swimming pool, gym, shops, restaurants, bowling alley, cinema, so there is a lot to do and see, including Osbourne House which is a 20 minute bus ride away. Our neighbours can offer support if needed. Please contact us if you are kind, responsible, love dogs and doggy cuddles. Duties are all about the dogs and meeting their needs: walking, feeding and giving them supplements, talking to them and giving them love, reassurance and companionship. This is the first time they will have been looked after by somebody who isn't already their friend, so someone who bonds with dogs is vital. Apart from that watering a few plants would be helpful! The house is a terraced cottage, centrally heated, with a logburner and has everything you need, easy to look after and cosy. We would like you to enjoy the dogs and your time here. Our male dog is a strong puller on the lead and our female one barks at other dogs, so someone who is happy to manage these issues would be great. On - lead walks only. A minimum of two walks a day are required. Digby is 5 and a labrador/collie cross, friendly, loving, funny, enthusiastic can be reactive and nervous of noises, new situations, but will always make you smile. Ruby is a 9 year-old Jack Russell, quiet and sweet at home but very feisty when she sees another dog. Both hate fireworks. Digby sleeps on the bed, but can be encouraged not to if needs be. Both love cuddles on the sofa. Digby hates to be left for longer than a few hours. They are good company.
Looking forward to hearing from you, if you think this might be for you. Happy to answer any questions, regards, Lisa.
