About this house sitting position in South Bramwith

Hello, we are looking for someone to look after our home and our most precious commodities, our 2 male cats (3 years old brothers), William and Harry. They are indoor/outdoor cats (they do as they please!).

We live in a lovely but tiny rural village, and are ideally situated for many Yorkshire attractions. Very nearby canal and river walks. 5 mins drive from shops etc.
The house itself is a 4-bed detached house.. We have garden surrounding the house on all 4 sides, and is very private. Conifers around most of it and hedges where the conifers stop. There is a field next to us and a field opposite so your main views out of the house are of fields. In the back garden there is a lawn and large raised decking area and on there is a pergola with seating under it (the roof of it opens and closes so you can spend time out there when the weather is wet!), a circular day bed, a little outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and Pizza oven. We also have a large fish pond (that we would just need you to throw some food into each day). The pond has a waterfall going into it which flows out from the deck. The other gardens around the front and side are mainly grassed. Down one of the sides to the house is what we call the utilities area (where the oil tank is stored – we have oil central heating).
The property is also secured by electric gates that are opened and closed with a fob.

Inside the house, we have 4 bedrooms – one is currently used as an office, and another we use as a dressing room. Then the remaining 2 both have beds in. Both of these rooms have ensuites attached and then there is a main bathroom with a freestanding bath and a downstairs toilet. Downstairs, you enter a hallway when you come through the front door and off the hallway is access to the integral garage, the kitchen (which goes onto a utility room and a side door exit) and the dining room. From the dining room you then step down a couple of steps to the living room, which has large floor to ceiling windows on 2 of the walls, a large window to the front. The patio door is in the dining room but as that is open to the living room anyway, it’s just windows galore so lovely and bright and any daytime sun will warm the rooms up really well. There’s a log burning stove in the lounge, and a large TV with Sky, Netflix etc. We have a large corner sofa, perfect for lounging. There is also a piano in the lounge.
There is superfast WIFI to the house.
In the kitchen we have a range gas cooker, a dishwasher, American Fridge Freezer, Microwave, Actifry etc. And then all the usual pots/pans. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room.
We’ve recently replaced our boiler so that’s now all controlled by a Hive system, which can be done via an App or manually with the Hive controller. We will leave full instructions for you.
In the office, there is a large bookcase with 100s of books. We both use Kindles now but can’t bear to part with my books, so there is a good selection if you like to read. There is also a desk, monitor, keyboard etc should you wish to use that.

The house has an alarm system fitted that is connected to a security centre. In the lounge there is an internal camera, however, this is only activated when the alarm is switched on and only if motion is detected. Other than that, the camera is not active. The reason for the camera is that if the alarm is triggered, the security centre will access the camera to see if they can see an intruder, and if they can they call the police immediately.
There’s an external camera also, pointing at the gates, which also detects motion. Neither of the cameras will actually trigger the alarm if motion is detected, but via an app, they will notify you. Sometimes, if we have a lot of tractor traffic, the camera outside will pick them up and notify you but in the main, it doesn’t pick anything up unless there is movement on the driveway. The driveway is a decent size, we have had 5 cars on it, so there is plenty of room for parking.
Further to this, there is CCTV on the outside of the property.
We would obviously give you access to the systems on the apps and wouldn’t be accessing it whilst we are away.

If you would be interested in discussing a house sit please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks, Zoey x
