About this house sitting position in Southend-on-Sea

We have a small home in the south of England, Essex. We are a husband and wife and have our two older children living at home. We have a 10 year old chihuahua named Bailey. Although our dog isn’t aggressive, he has a tendency to lash out in certain situations, he does not like to be bothered, stroked or petted. Bailey just likes to have someone present, this would mean the sitter would have to remain in the household as long a possible to prevent him howling. Bailey is a very scared little dog and finds the outdoors extremely uncomfortable. He should not be walked. Bailey would much rather be left alone. While the sitter is in the house, the back door can be left open to allow Bailey to come in and out. Bailey is a lovely boy but due to being an older dog, he has just become grumpy in his older age and just needs a friendly voice to reassure him.
