'Thatches' a 300 year old thatched property (partly re-built in 2000 following a fire) is located in the village of Staplehay on the outskirts (2 miles) of the market town of Taunton, Somerset. Situated at the foot of the Blackdown Hills there are many walks Winston can show you locally from the back door! Alternatively the Quantocks and Exmoor are within easy reach.
Winston who will be 4 years old on 18.11.19 when we are away is a black Labrador Retriever who needs regular exercise - usually two walks a day of about an hour each. We have an informal arrangement with our neighbour who have a Kelsie - 18 months old called Jodie - who usually walks with us once a day. So to clarify only one dog will be at Thatches but it would be appreciated if you could take the neighbours dog out as well. Both dogs travel well and are usually in the boot of the car before it is fully open!
In addition to walking the dog there are no other duties necessitated apart from the normal - picking up the post, putting out the bins etc.
The house is 4 bedrooms and you will have the spare room which has a double bed and wardrobe space.
We are away from mid-day on 1.11.19 and we would like to introduce you to Winston before leaving so you would need to be at Thatches early on the 1st or alternatively arrive on the 31.10.19 and stay an extra night. Read more...
