About this house sitting position in Tiverton

We need someone who can exercise and care for our dogs, cats and chickens, and walk the fields once a day to check on the Dexter cattle and sheep. If anything is wrong there will be a contact number for immediate assistance - so don't get concerned about the large animal care!!!

We live in a Devon listed long house, in a very quiet rural location down its own drive. Wonderful views down our valley to Dartmoor in the distance, and your own 33 acres to walk in and enjoy! These include an area which is a Devon County Wildlife Site because of its rare flora and fungi - all is farmed and cared for with as much environmental sensitivity as possible. We have recently planted 5000 young plants to create hedges, as well as turning a former grassed field into a wildflower meadow.

There is a large veg garden and a polytunnel, so naturally you can harvest what is ripe and ready, but the polytunnel will need watering ... No lawn mowing or anything else to do in the garden! (unless you love weeding and we might be able to find a few of those) ...

2 of the dogs are working sheep dogs - but are very much pets too, and one is a Romanian rescue. The cats are moggies - living either indoors or out as the fancy takes them! Chickens will be laying well, so you can eat as many omelettes as you can cope with.

Devon has loads of attractions - wonderful coastlines to explore, Dartmoor and Exmoor both very accessible for excellent walking, the Cathedral city of Exeter has loads to often, and fantastic local pubs for the evenings when you don't want to cook!
