About this house sitting position in Vale
We live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, a gorgeous place to visit. We have a large house with a large garden, house sitter needs to have experience with dogs, our dog is very friendly and needs to have daily exercise twice a day, the cats are easy to look after and they come and please as they wish, chickens are very low maintenance. We live near shops, takeaways and bus stops (approx 10 minute walk) we also live within walking distance to the beach. If you can help us while we are away in October please let me know. “My first sit on Guernsey and I loved it. I didn't meet Natalie&Jer but her Mum&Dad were great.Her Mum picked me up from the ferry and dropped me back. Natalie had left a thorough information pack which I referred to regularly. Bertie,their cockerpoo, was a delight, we bonded very quickly. It was just a 10min walk to the beautiful coast where, after a couple of days, I let him off and he ran around energetically on the common and occasionally on the beach! And he came back! The 3 cats were no trouble, 2 came inside to eat then back out again but Coco was outdoors all the time.You soon found her by her loud miaow! I checked the chickens twice a day, their coop is enclosed so they took themselves off to bed.Lovely fresh eggs and some were blue! Thanks very much 😊 ” - Read more
