A home with garden in a leafy street in the wonderful city of Bristol. Central yet quiet.
We need a responsible person (or couple) to care for our cat and who’d enjoy cooking for four young adult language students. Feed them supper, and the rest of the time have the house to yourself. Naturally we’ll pay a fee to make it worth your while.
We are 3 minutes walk from the Downs – perfect for strolling, jogging, picnics etc. Also 3 minutes from Waitrose, a local cinema and bus routes. 10-15 mins walk to two cosmopolitan high streets.
We‘d need you to fill our role whilst we’re on holiday. That means feeding our friendly grey cat who enjoys a cuddle, watering our small yet lush garden and preparing a meal each evening for the 4 language students.
The house is attractive, quiet and at your disposal. In summer the garden is a wonderful tranquil extra outdoor-room with comfy sofas, accessed through double doors from the big kitchen.
Year-round we have 3/4 adult language students living with us. We’ve done this for 22 years and know the ropes. They attend an excellent local English language school with a full social program. They are out during the days – often evenings too. Apart from supper around the big kitchen table, the students keep to their own rooms when they’re home. They have their own bathroom, and the house is plenty big enough so they are non-intrusive. They are each from different countries so English is their common language. They need a simple wholesome supper most evenings – nothing fancy. Ideally you’d talk with them over supper too – about their days or whatever flows.
Always before when we’ve gone on holiday we’ve had family members able to step into this role – but due to age and health concerns that’s no longer possible. This is a new era for us.
