ABOUT ME

I am a considerate and friendly non-smoking female. I have excellent reviews on another house sitting website, you can view the ones I have copied over below.

A perfectionist by nature, with a caring attitude towards animals and a passion for long walks, cosy homes and travel. I love nothing more than playing with cats and looking after people's homes, so house sitting is living the dream!

I have been a cat owner my whole life, and I have raised a kitten from only 6 weeks old to maturity. I have been trusted to look after many neighbours' homes, cats and dogs regularly over the past 8 years. Over that time I've been running my own graphic design and marketing business which I take with me wherever I am in the world.

I am a car owner able to sit in remote locations.

WHY I WANT TO HOUSE SIT

I am lucky enough to have a job I can take anywhere so long as there's a wifi connection. But I tend to get cabin fever working in the same place by myself day after day.

Housesitting gives me variety and travel opportunities, the chance to stay in some fabulous homes, play with wonderful pets and meet lovely new people.

I love to travel and integrate into different communities while caring for people's homes and pets. I would much rather stay in someone's home and meet new people than stay in a soulless, impersonal hotel. For me, house sitting is the dream!

MY EXPERIENCE

I have been house sitting, pet sitting regularly for the past 8 years, but it has always been my dream to make it a more central role in my life. For some reason cats take to me very quickly, even the most timid rescue cats, perhaps because of my life time's experience caring for them. My family jokes that I must have been a cat in a previous life!

Being a business owner means I am organised and reliable, good with technology and excellent at communication.

In the recent past I helped build my own home so I bring with me knowledge and practical skills from this experience. I am calm and quick thinking in dealing with any property problems, so you can leave your home in my care with complete peace of mind. I have also employed domestic personnel so I have experience dealing with issues that may arise with them. Caring for mine and others' cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, and plants over the years, in houses rural and urban, large and small, has given me valuable experience and been an absolute pleasure! I can't wait to do it for you!

Louisa was extremely organised and came to visit us and our home prior to the sit which was very reassuring. She kept us updated with lots of photos of the cats whilst we were away, it was lovely to know that they were in safe hands. She left the house very clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend Louisa and would happily have her back again!

Louisa looked after our house and lovely cat Flossie.. we were away for almost 3 weeks and I was worried about our cat, as she is quite needy and misses us when we are away. Louisa kept us posted with photos which was lovely and very reassuring! The house was tidy and looking great when we got back and Flossie very happy.. would recommend Louisa for pet or house sitting

Louisa took the time to visit beforehand and took additional notes beyond what was provided to ensure she had everything needed - she is conscientious, reliable and kept us informed throughout the sit. The house was left in a clean and tidy state upon our return and Merlin was happy, unstressed and well cared for. Would definitely ask her to sit again.

Louisa looked after Bracken for a week and all went very well from arrival at the airport to leaving the day we returned. House and Bracken were in good condition when we returned. Recommended.

Louisa took the time to come and visit us and our dog Henry before the house sit, joining me on a walk so she could get to know him. She kept in touch before we went away and arrived promptly on the morning of our trip, taking Henry out for a walk so we could finish packing! Louisa sent photo updates while we were away, and Henry looked very relaxed and happy in these - it was nice to see that he was being well looked after. Our house was immaculate on our return. Louisa is very friendly and highly organised, and our dog had a great time with her!

It felt as though Louisa formed a strong bond with our cats and looked after them very well, sending regular updates that conveyed their character and moods excellently. Her communication was very clear and I felt very confident leaving her to look after both the house and cats. I felt she gave equal care and attention despite one cat being far more demanding and cute! I would recommend her.
