I am 66 year old single gay man. I am retired after 50 years of varied Food Service employment, mostly in the managerial aspect. I started as a Dishwasher at 15 years old and for the first 10 or so years of my career I was focused on the cooking part, starting as a prep cook and working up to sous chef. I have worked in all aspects of the Food Service industry.
I was married for 32 years and have 2 sons. I came out very late in life and still have a great relationship with my ex wife and children.
I am not much of a party type guy. Non smoker, no drugs and drink only occasionally.
I love to bake, especially breads. I am passionate for great coffee, good films, great Ice Cream. I also love Antiques and junk shops!
My ancestral history is from the UK and Ireland. I first traveled to the UK and Europe in 2013 and fell in love with them. I felt as if I had "come home". I have made 3 trips since then and If it were possible, would retire to the UK.
I love travel, history and exploring new places. Being in the hospitality business for so many years has given me great respect for other people and cultures. When I travel I expect to be the one who adapts to wherever I am, not the locals to adapt to me. Why travel if all you want is what you get at home?
