Hi there!

My name is Melody. I am a trustworthy and reliable home carer, keen gardener and a respectful pet lover.

I am a 30-year old French Londoner working from home and keen to be spending more time in the company of pets or looking after a beautiful home. I originally come from the Loire Valley and grew up in a small village surrounded by nature, forests and vineyards. I grew up amongst cats, dogs, rabbits and hens so I am familiar with anything fitting that description.

I have lived in London for 10 years and am currently based in Harringay. With my flatmates, we used to have a cat (Bobbie) but he sadly passed away last year due to old age. We are blessed with a beautiful garden with flowers, herbs and a few veggies. We also have a pond with several fish and consider the house our home and we independently look after it (to the great pleasure of our landlord) so overall this has made me confident with odd jobs around the house.

I currently work and spend most of my time on the laptop, which means I am very eager to get out onto the streets or in nature for a walk after work!
I am an keen gardener and gladly tuck in to remove weeds, water plants or vegetables, etc. However, I am no expert so I am open to instructions on more fragile plants!

Prior to living in London, I had 2 dogs and 2 cats and I dearly miss them. I would be very glad to be able to play and look after cats or dogs again - whether they be moody or cuddly!.

I am a keen walker and often go on long walks during the weekend in neighbouring parks - I would gladly bring the dog along if you have a dog. I also enjoy writing, reading and regularly do yoga.

I am a friendly, reliable and organised individual. I gladly follow instructions given but can also think for myself and do what needs to be done for you to find your house in the state you want to when you return (e.g. regular cleaning). I am clean and tidy. I am happy being on my own and I communicate promptly if there are any issues.
I do not smoke.

Although it is my first time on MindAHome, I have previously lived in and looked after other people's homes (and cats, dogs, sheep, hens and fish!), be it 3 weeks for a London family desperately needing a holiday in Spain or 6 months for a family member dispatched on a work assignment to the Antarctica. I have also looked after my neighbours' gorgeous cat on several occasions when they were going on holiday. And I used to look after my granny's garden after my grandpa passed away.

My only 'need' as a housesitter is a reliable Wifi connection for my daytime work.
