A nature and animal lover, I'm at my most content outdoors with birds and animals. After many successful years in a career my health has, well, strongly encouraged me at the age of 43 to slow down! Now I enjoy a simple and quiet life with art and books when I can't walk outdoors. I plan to spend 2023 gently touring parts of the UK that I was to busy working to enjoy previously.

I have a delightful 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier (hypoallergenic and non-moulting), Roxy, who was a rescue and is very anxious. This actually means she travels and socialises with other dogs very well, as she's too unsure of herself to make a scene. She can be scared of men, but I can't see that being relevant here.

Roxy "chose" me when I went to visit and I've been told I have a gentle air that animals trust. I've certainly learned how to read signs for space or cuddles and love getting to know new animals of all types! So far I've been lucky enough to care for hamsters, hens, cats and dogs. I have previous experience with horses, goats, ducks and more.
