Seeking new experiences, I have been a pet owner for 40 years and am available in school holidays. I have a pedigree cat household but have experience of looking after dogs and other small animals as well as minding the homes and pets of friends when they go away (references can be obtained relevant to the past year).
In late July/ early August I am seeking a position within an hour of Harrogate/York. Dates can be somewhat flexible but I want to be near my teen daughter whilst she attends a full time residential educational course for a fortnight as it is quite far from home down south. For me, having animals to care for would be ideal during this time. On other occasions in 2023/24, I can be available on my own or with my daughter to care for pets and your home whilst you are away. The locations can also be wide-ranging from Cornwall to the North-east. I have looked after young pets, older dogs and cats, and also have prior experience of administering daily injections for my neighbour's diabetic cat, combing persian cats and brushing rough collies. For several years, a family member's large dog came to stay with us twice a year and blended into our cat household without a problem. I am very caring, reliable and confident with animals, fit and able to walk distances. Looking after your pets and home will be my absolute focus and to do the very best job possible. I am professionally qualified as a teacher to post-graduate level but I am sure that having an instinctive understanding of much-loved family pets will be of the utmost importance.
