My name is Vicki.
I am a home owner myself and have therefore, managed houses and apartments with all that this entails, including a garden. Although I have not had pets in my own home due to working and home restrictions, I grew up in a house with various animals and birds, including looking after my parent’s dogs with young puppies whilst they were away and also, latterly, when they were older with various medications.
As well as enjoying the company of animals myself, I understand the need for the pets themselves to feel loved and cared for and giving them the security of their routines. I have house-sat for friends and family, including one with a hot tub that needed maintenance and many indoor and outdoor plants! I would like to spread my wings to enjoy a life, at this time, helping others to enjoy their vacations knowing that their homes and animal are safe, loved and cared for whilst they are away.
I have my own business as a consultant in tram and other public transport development and work from home so am flexible with my time and location. I have my own car and am in good health. I am methodical, systematic and dependable and am calm in a crisis, being able to think on my feet. I am fairly flexible and adaptable to living in different locations, having travelled extensively to various places in the world and in the UK including of the beaten track countries and destinations that are not the usual tourist route, such as Malawi and Uzbekistan, some for the purpose of voluntary work. I like to draw and paint and am an avid reader of both fiction and non fiction especially historic and travel related. I am comfortable being with people but also happy in my own company. I am currently studying creative writing as a hobby.
I am personable and am easily able to get on with people such as neighbours and those in the locality that may be involved in the welfare of the pets and homes. I also, where possible, like to get involved in the local community and had the opportunity to do this when I worked and lived away from home in two separate locations over a 5 year period in the UK.
