Hello, nice to meet you!

We are Danny & Bridie (& Jandal). We have relied on house sitters many times in our home in West Auckland, New Zealand. Now the roles are reversed and we would love to look after your fur babies and your home while you're away. As previous home owners we know how important it is that your home and animals are well-looked after. We understand the anxieties that come with being away from your home and pets and we look after them all as if they were our own!

A bit about us:

Dan - 46, ex-firefighter, all-round handyman and entrepreneur! Dan has renovated 6 properties, as well as launched and managed a successful UK sustainability expo, and dedicated 16 years to the fire services in London and New Zealand. He's also founded and managed several different businesses over the years, as well as managing general maintenance and labour on several small farm holdings in New Zealand. Dan is also fully qualified as an electrician, addicted to macroeconomics, and is a self-certified creative bodger.

Bridie - 30, ex-flight attendant, virtual assistant with green fingers. Bridie spent 10 years as inflight manager with an Australian airline and now is a freelance virtual assistant. Her real passion is permaculture and organic growing, studying horticulture, plant and soil science, and land-based sustainability practices. She's also an administrator extraordinaire, research assistant, has experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting for several businesses, plus she has digital marketing and social media management experience.

Jandal - 8, Chief Hole Inspector and qualified in stick management. Jandal is our furry baby. She is the world's most chillest dog ever, coming all the way from The Middle of Nowhere, Northland, New Zealand, where Dan found her at 6 months old. Her many skills include: zoomies expert, stick chewer, beach digging extraordinaire, and all-round bringer of smiles.

We've been together for five years, living on an organic farm in New Zealand for the last two. Now we're on holiday here in the UK and free to explore. We love animals of all shapes and sizes and characters, and have cared for cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and ponies. We are very active and fit so can exercise your animals as much or as little as needed. We are also comfortable maintaining your house in whatever way you need while you're away, and would be happy to get stuck into the garden if you needed it too.

We also have a 4WD vehicle and our own small, self-contained, off-grid caravan, which we could easily site at your place if you'd prefer not to have strangers staying inside overnight.

Our pooch is incredibly well-behaved and great with other animals, and of course we would adhere to any rules or requests about having her in your home with us.

Time-wise, we are entirely flexible and can discuss dates etc to fit around your schedule/needs.
